Turn disaster into triumph

In 2010, Joy Okwuadigbo was made redundant as Head of Regeneration Services at Havant Borough Council when it merged its executive management team with neighbouring East Hampshire District Council to reduce cost as part of the Government’s austerity measure.  “I started looking for other work, including registering with executive search agencies and interim management providers, but after 4 months, I was only approached twice for interim posts”.
Joy said that she has to be innovative by setting up JNO Solutions Ltd, a management consultancy that promotes public, private and voluntary sector partnerships. “I had to innovate. I couldn’t take things lying down”.
